THE
HISTORY OF THE MOST BELOVED TIGER OF GUARAPARI
It
all started in 1972, when the campaign "Put a tiger in your car"
was released. ESSO built some tigers made of fiberglass that should
visit various gas stations all over Brazil. On this occasion, ESSO
was opening one more station in Vitória and brought one of
these tigers to the opening party.
Mr. Dino, founder
of Dino Gas Station, in Guarapari, on a visit to this opened station
in Vitória, solicited to ESSO that the next stop of the tiger
would be Dino Station. Promptly assisted, Dino Station was graced
with the presence of the Tiger. During its presence, it could be
noticed that the local population ,tourists from all over Brazil
and even foreigners, made the tiger an obligatory tourism spot for
photos and a reference in Guarapari. Mr. Dino was one more time
assisted by ESSO and the tiger stayed definitively in the city becoming
the Guarapari patriarch.
